The Vibe
CedarCreek occupies a rare tier of Okanagan wine experience — a place where architectural beauty, culinary excellence, sustainable farming, and world-class winemaking all operate at the same level simultaneously. Set on a steep hillside above Lakeshore Road with sweeping views of Okanagan Lake, the estate's contemporary farmhouse buildings — constructed from fieldstone and century-old reclaimed barn wood — feel rooted in the land in a way that newer wineries simply can't replicate. Twice named Canada's Winery of the Year and now united under the Von Mandl family alongside Mission Hill and Martin's Lane, CedarCreek carries a quiet confidence and a deep sense of purpose that guests feel from the first pour to the last. This is a premium, structured experience — but never a cold or intimidating one.
The Experience
Every tasting at CedarCreek is seated, guided, and thoughtfully curated — there are no walk-up bar tastings here, and the reservation-required format ensures every guest receives the full attention of a knowledgeable host. The Aspect House elevated tasting pairs four wines with three handcrafted food accompaniments in a stunning setting overlooking the valley — a beautifully balanced introduction to the estate. For something more immersive, the Platinum Collection experience pairs five top-tier wines with five chef-curated courses including rare library vintages, making it one of the most complete wine and food experiences in the Okanagan at $200 per person. Home Block Restaurant, helmed by Executive Chef Neil Taylor, takes a wine-first approach to its entire menu — dishes are built around the wines rather than the other way around, drawing from estate gardens, local farmers, and foragers, with a wood-fired grill fuelled by timber from local orchards and seasoned barrel staves adding extraordinary depth of flavour.
The Wine
Winemaker Taylor Whelan is building on three decades of CedarCreek history while defining a bold new chapter — crafting estate-grown, certified organic cool-climate wines from 30-year-old Home Block vines that have had the time to develop the complexity and character that only age can provide. The portfolio is focused and intentional, led by Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that regularly draw comparisons to the finest Burgundian expressions at a fraction of the price. The Platinum Collection represents the pinnacle of the estate — single-block, small-lot wines that showcase the full range of the Home Block Vineyard's diverse soil profile and aspect variations. The Aspect Series and 50 Acre Series offer more accessible entry points into the portfolio, delivering genuine CedarCreek character at every price level.
