DID YOU KNOW?
BC is finally getting serious about the terrior of it's wine. Okanagan Falls is BC's second official sub-appellation allowing everyone to taste the distinct difference of the wine produced in this area, as it will have an exclusive label. Defining boundaries have been drawn on maps and soils have been tested to great length. The grapes within these perimeters benefit from the complex glaciofluvial soil deposits (a diverse range of sand and gravel left by glacial meltwater over thousands of years).

The Okanagan falls area is currently dominated by Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir which suits the slighty cooler climate when compared to the Oliver and Osoyoos areas 30mins south. However, there are several outstanding and interesting varieties grown which we recommend: Gruner Veltliner (Austria's most popular white); Albarino (popular in Portugal and Spain); and Gamay (made famous under Beaujolais appellation in France).
