THOUGHTS ON THE NARAMATA BENCH:

Home to some of Canada's best wineries, the Naramata Bench has a growing reputation for producing high quality full fruit forward reds and even more vibrant dry white wines. We highly recommend Pinot Gris, Viognier, Merlot, Malbec, and Pinot Noir varieties grown here.

The bench created many years ago by glacier movement provides the perfect slope, and the sand, silt, and clay soil composition is perfect for several high quality grape varieties. The constant breeze off the lake keeps temperatures moderate in the summer and stops the winters being hazardous to the vines.

There are a handful of great lunch or dinner stops in Naramata. Some of our regular hangouts are Lake Breeze winery's Patio Restaurant, and for a more casual experience D'Angelo's winery food truck area. Both come with spectacular views of the vineyards, lake and the Okanagan Valley.
