Wyn and Marion Lewis purchased the property in 2003, planted 8,000 Pinot vines over the following seven years, and opened the winery in 2010 with a vision that went far beyond wine. Perched on a plateau overlooking the city of Kelowna and surrounded by apple and cherry orchards, the estate is part winery, part art gallery, part music venue, and part community gathering place — with an energy that is completely infectious from the moment you pull into the driveway. Every guest is handed a pair of 3D glasses on arrival, setting the tone for an experience where the art literally jumps off the walls at you, the music drifts across the vineyard from the outdoor stage, and the whole afternoon feels less like a winery visit and more like a festival you stumbled into.

The Experience

The Wine

The Vibrant Vine's wine credentials are as serious as its entertainment credentials, anchored by one of the most extraordinary origin stories in Canadian wine history. In 2013, the estate accidentally entered its Woops White Wine in the World Beverage Competition in Geneva, Switzerland — and won Best White Wine in the World, a result that sent shockwaves through the Okanagan wine community and changed the Lewis family's trajectory forever. Built on the estate's Stoney Hill Vineyard behind the Villa, the portfolio spans aromatic whites including the flagship Woops White, bold reds including the Dragon Merlot, and Vibrante — a traditional method sparkling wine that is a perennial visitor favourite. The wines are approachable, fruit-forward, and made to be enjoyed — which fits perfectly with the estate's broader philosophy that wine should always be fun first.
