The Vibe

Sleeping Giant feels like a nostalgic trip to a classic Okanagan country estate. Because it shares a home with Summerland Sweets, it’s a bustling hub of activity where the scent of jam and fruit syrups fills the air. It’s less "wine cellar" and more "farmhouse kitchen," with a friendly, high-energy atmosphere that appeals to all ages. It’s the perfect place for those who find traditional grape wineries a bit too formal.

The Experience

A visit here is often a multi-stop adventure. You can start by tasting their wide range of fruit wines — from dry table wines to sweet, decadent dessert wines. Afterward, you can sample the fruit syrups for free, grab an ice cream cone from the counter, and take a short walk down the trail to see the historic Kettle Valley Railway trestle. In the summer, the BBQ smells from the Smokeshack make the picnic area the place to be for lunch.

The Wine

This is the place to discover what the Okanagan can produce beyond the vineyard. Using classic winemaking techniques on 100% fruit foundations, they create everything from a crisp Blackberry table wine to a rich, fortified Raspberry dessert wine. They even offer sparkling fruit wines that are perfect for summer celebrations. Whether you like it off-dry or dessert-sweet, there is a fruit for every palate.
