The Vibe
Grizzli Winery wears its community identity proudly — this is a place built not just for wine lovers, but for everyone. Set on a nine-acre estate at the foot of Mount Boucherie with sweeping vineyard views filling the windows, the architecturally award-winning building is as much a cultural hub as it is a winery. Inside, the 20,000 sq. ft. tasting room with soaring 60-foot ceilings manages to feel simultaneously grand and genuinely welcoming — the kind of space where families, wine club members, art enthusiasts, and first-time visitors all feel equally at home. There is always something happening at Grizzli, and that energy is palpable from the moment you walk through the door.
The Experience
Grizzli offers one of the most layered visitor experiences on the Westside Wine Trail. Standard walk-in tastings are relaxed and self-paced — guests settle into the art gallery-integrated wine lounge and work through their selections at their own leisure, with generous pours and a $10 tasting fee credit applied toward any bottle purchase. For a more guided experience, the seated enhanced tasting flights pair wines with locally curated food accompaniments, while the winter Icewine Tour takes guests behind the scenes through frosted vineyards and production facilities before warming up with a guided flight of two decadent icewines and two table wines. Friday Happy Hour brings live music, wine specials, and handcrafted cocktails to the lounge, and the annual events calendar — from the beloved Icewine Gala to summer Night Markets and outdoor Cinema — make Grizzli a destination worth returning to across every season.
The Wine
Hand-harvested from Okanagan Valley estate vineyards, the Grizzli portfolio spans a broad and approachable range of reds, whites, fruit wines, and the winery's most celebrated category — outstanding icewines that have earned recognition on a world stage. The deep, fruit-forward reds are a particular highlight, with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and signature blends delivering the rich, concentrated character that Okanagan volcanic soils do so well. The Gewürztraminer is a perennial crowd favourite — aromatic, lush, and distinctly Okanagan — while the icewines, produced entirely from hand-picked estate grapes and bottled on site, represent some of the finest examples of the style in the valley.
