The Vibe

Named after the ancient dormant volcano it faces, Mt. Boucherie has been part of West Kelowna's wine story since 1968 — but it was the opening of its stunning 15,000 sq. ft. experience centre in 2020 that truly announced its arrival as a destination winery. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping 360° views of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding mountains, while the interior strikes a confident balance between warmth and sophistication. Known affectionately by locals as "Bouch," the atmosphere is welcoming and unhurried — the kind of place that makes you want to linger long after your last pour.

The Experience

Mt. Boucherie goes beyond the standard tasting room visit, offering daily vineyard strolls and barrel room tours that give guests genuine insight into the winemaking process. The Modest Butcher Kitchen & Market is the jewel of the estate — a farm-to-table restaurant that sources locally, keeps things unpretentious, and pairs beautifully with a long afternoon on the patio. For groups wanting to make a full weekend of it, the luxury estate guesthouse is one of the most unique overnight options in wine country. Whether you're settling in for a long lunch or working through a reserve tasting flight, Bouch delivers on every front.

The Wine

Winemaker Jeff Hundertmark oversees a portfolio built on volcanic soils across 200+ acres spanning four distinct vineyard sites — West Kelowna, the Golden Mile Bench, Okanagan Falls, and South Cawston. That diversity of terroir shows up in the glass across four distinct wine tiers, from the approachable entry-level bottles to the flagship Summit Series reserves. The volcanic soils that define this land are the secret behind wines of remarkable depth and minerality, with Syrah, Petit Verdot, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay standing out as the estate's most celebrated varieties.
