The Vibe

The Gallery Winery is one of those rare places that feels exactly like what it is — a labour of love. Sisters Kirstin and Natasha started with humble beginnings, clearing their family acreage in 2013 and planting their first vines in 2015 with little more than a dream and a lot of determination. What emerged is a warm, art-filled boutique winery perched on a gentle south-facing rise overlooking Gellatly Bay — an oasis of farmland charm tucked into one of West Kelowna's most rapidly developing neighbourhoods. The tasting room, adorned with chandeliers, Natasha's original paintings, and fresh-cut flower bouquets, feels more like stepping into a curated gallery than a conventional winery — which is precisely the point.

The Experience

Visitors consistently rave about one thing above all else at The Gallery: the people. Whether Kirstin or Natasha is pouring, guests are treated to a genuinely personal experience — full backstories on every wine and label, unhurried tastings, and the kind of warmth that makes an hour feel like five minutes. Seated tastings are offered for four pours, with the patio and picnic area providing some of the loveliest casual wine-sipping real estate on the Westside Wine Trail. The tasting room doubles as a functioning gallery, with rotating works and a charming selection of prints, cards, and gifts available alongside the wines.

The Wine

The Gallery's estate-grown portfolio reflects its founders' adventurous spirit — planting Riesling, Ehrenfelser, Orange Muscat, and Malbec from the outset, including what is believed to be BC's most northerly Malbec planting. A block of Cabernet Franc was added in 2021, rounding out a small but distinctive lineup shaped by the estate's south-facing silty soils and ideal lake-influenced microclimate. Mentored by some of the valley's finest winemaking talent — including Jason Parkes of Crown & Thieves and Michael Bartier of Bartier Brothers — the wines punch well above their boutique weight and carry the unmistakable character of a vineyard tended with genuine love and attention.
